Meet the Team

BRANDON BRICKLEY

Brandon loves being a Dad to his 3 children and being married to his wife Lacey! From early on in his faith he felt God call him to serve and shepherd the people around him. For almost 15 years he poured his life into the youth ministry at MVC, dead set on reaching non believing teenagers and watching God radically change their lives. As he grew in his leadership he developed a gift to raise up leaders around him and create teams that embody and implement a clear vision and mission. Now Brandon does just that in his role as Director of Ministries. He oversees many of the ministries at MVC, developing the staff and equipping them to be the very best they can be while creating an environment and culture of honor, ensuring the core values and mission of MVC bleed throughout each and every ministry.

CHERYL KLEM

Cheryl considers it a blessing to work alongside the staff and overseers and is convinced she works with the most authentic, talented, and dedicated church staff ever! Cheryl has 20+ years in Organizational Development; she is a graduate of Vanguard University and has a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Chapman University.

MARTY MANCE

Marty and his wife Patti have been longtime members of the Mountain View community. He has served in Children’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Restoration Ministry, as an Overseer, and has now joined our staff as Director of Operations. Marty has a passion for people and enjoys helping people discover their identity in Christ. When he is not spending time with his wife, children, or grandchildren, he is outdoors hiking, biking, backpacking, camping, or working on his truck.

TAYLOR BEDOYA

Taylor and her husband Ryan love raising their two boys with tons of grace, adventure, and laughter. After graduating from California Baptist University and working in ministry for 8 years, she discovered a gifting and passion for coming alongside and equipping kids and families to follow Jesus and receive His generous love all the days of their lives. She can’t wait to grow with your family!

DAVID CEJA

David Ceja is planting a church to reach our Latino population in San Juan Capistrano. He and his wife Joyce have two beautiful daughters. With dual passions for evangelism and music, David and Joyce teach music, work with kids and are reaching adults in Spanish and English.

KAREN ZELAYA

Karen is passionate about connecting with people and helping them feel welcomed. She has been at Mountain View for over seven years and truly found her calling here. Her heart of serving flows out of her love and adoration for God. She lives in Dana Point with her two sons, Andrew and Jayden.

KIM COUNTS

Kim’s heart for children was cultivated in her own childhood of being raised in the church and always feeling loved, pursued and known by those who led her in Sunday School! She has volunteered in church kids’ programs throughout her adult life and has regularly taught in the elementary classes since coming to Mountain View Church in 2016. She has a background in teaching in the public school system, with a Master’s Degree in Special Education. Kim and her husband have been foster parents for 10 years and have two adopted children who are now adults. She has a love for kids and desires for them to feel loved, known and above all else, to experience Jesus!

EDWIN VILLA

Edwin has been working in the audio industry since 2014 in many different churches and companies. He and his wife Liz have found a home and community at Mountain View where he is excited to serve every week.

HANNAH NOLL

Hannah heard her calling to ministry when she was in her second year of college. God made it clear to her that she was called to adolescents. After volunteering with Young Life, then later being on staff, she learned the best way to love kids and teach them about Jesus is to be in their lives! Then God called her to Mountain View, where she is excited to share adventure, friendship, and Jesus with students  and young adults! She lives with her husband, Louis, in San Clemente.

KAIMANA FARRIS

Kaimana hails from Honolulu where she was born and raised in a musical family. She always had a love and talent for music, but it wasn’t until she encountered the redemptive power of the Holy Spirit at work within her that she began to understand God’s good plans and purposes for her life. She serves as Worship Arts Coordinator with joy and gratitude, truly in awe of the work she gets to do in partnership with Holy Spirit —leading the community into the Presence of the Beloved.

She and her husband Colin met on the Worship Team at Westmont College, and together they are raising four amazing humans, each one a unique gift from the Lord. Their lives are full to overflowing with signs and wonders of the abundant, generous love of the Father.

STRATTON PALMER

Stratton found his passion for working with children with special needs at a very young age. At the age of 12, he volunteered as an assistant coach for Laguna Niguel Lions in the V.I.P. Soccer League, a league for children with disabilities. This led Stratton to be a vital part of the Best Buddies Program all 4 years as a student at Dana Hills High School. During these years, Stratton realized this was his passion and what he felt called to do in life. Stratton began his professional career in 2008 working for the Capistrano Unified School District. Throughout the years, Stratton has had the chance to work with all age groups at a moderate/severe disability level. More recently, Stratton has been in charge of managing behaviors working 1-on-1 with students with behavioral issues. Stratton’s passion for this field of work led him to Mountain View Church, where he leads our special needs ministry.

BRANDON PETERSON

As a heartfelt creative and passionate storyteller, Brandon is excited about the intersection of art and ministry. He cares about thoughtful design and creating worshipful spaces for people to encounter Jesus.

Brandon and his wife Jessica met while working at Yosemite Sierra Summer Camp during their college years. They love living in Dana Point, but during the summer months, you’ll find them enjoying the camp life and doing ministry together on Bass Lake, just outside Yosemite National Park.
